Something I’ve been working on this past few days. As a creative exercise. This has been done quite a bit in the past, but it’s a good way to practice and sharpen skills. Finished two and have a few more in mind.

1428 Elm Street

Something a bit random today. I made this as a gift. A half size replica of the model house from ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors’. It’s the house Kristen is building in the title credits and is left unfinished until the final shot of the film. I made mine like the unfinished version in case you were thinking I got lazy.

It’s made from cardboard, papier mache, lollypop sticks, matchsticks, glue, and acrylic paint. Cheap and cheerful. The base it sits on measures 22cm squared (a more practical size than original). Due to the size change it’s not an exact copy, but as close as I could manage in the time. Was lots of fun to make, and I took a few shots of it before passing it on. Hope you like.

This is my first test photo for a set of stories called Bear Zero. It’s a bit rushed and the background was thrown together as I’ve not made anything specific for it, but good enough to get the idea. This is the core cast of characters. There are a lot more cutouts to be made still.
